Celebrating innovation at Forté Health’s inaugural Quality Awards

27th May 2026

Forté Health recently hosted its inaugural Quality Awards, recognising the people and projects driving excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation.

The awards reflect the team's expertise and commitment to patient care, operational efficiency and sustainability.

Taking out both the Sustainability Category and the Overall Winner award was the Sterile Custom Procedure Packs Project, led by Tanya Power (Anaesthetic Technician/Registered Nurse) and Karen Morris (Inventory Manager). This project impressed the judging panel for its scale, rigour and measurable impact. Judges described the entry as “very comprehensive and reflective of the scale of the project.” The work was praised as comprehensive, well quantified and carefully assessed, with strong use of comparable measures and a structured supplier review process.

The judges also noted the project’s clear objectives and well-defined next steps, highlighting its potential for ongoing development and long-term impact. While Karen Morris was unable to attend the awards evening, Tanya Power accepted the award on behalf of the team. Pictured is Tanya with Robyn Cumings,

Adding to this success, the Sterile Custom Procedure Packs Project has recently been named a finalist in the 2026 CIPS ANZ Excellence in Procurement and Supply Awards, in the category of Best Sustainability Project of the Year. This recognition highlights the broader significance of the initiative beyond Forté Health, positioning it among leading sustainability projects across Australia and New Zealand
